Why stage by stage

Sales on Amazon are a chain. The weakest link sets the ceiling.

Most sellers fix what they can see – a title, a bid, a price. But the cause usually sits one stage earlier. Fix the wrong link and the money goes in, the sales don't come out. That's why we check the whole chain before touching anything.

Symptom

More ad budget, same sales

Ads bring shoppers to a page that doesn't convert. Raising bids only makes each lost sale more expensive.

The fix is in images and reviews → check stage 4
Symptom

A great listing that doesn't rank

Title and bullets are fine, but the price sits outside what shoppers accept for this format, so they click elsewhere.

The fix is in positioning → check stage 2
Symptom

Sales up, money down

Revenue grows while advertising and returns eat the margin. Scaling now only makes the loss bigger.

The fix is in profit and advertising → check stage 7

What we check

Seven stages, in the order they affect each other

Go through all seven, or open just the stage that worries you. Each one ends with a score, the findings and what to do next.

Start with stage 1
  1. 01

    Market & demand

Is there enough demand – and can you realistically win a share of it?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Demand by search term, not by best seller rank
    • How high the review barrier is
    • Seasonality and timing
    • Category approvals and claim risks

Fixed with: Niche & Product Audit

  2. 02

    Positioning & offer

Why should a shopper choose you over the ten listings next to yours?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • A clear reason to choose you
    • Price against comparable offers
    • Competitor complaints you can solve
    • Claims you can prove

Fixed with: Competitors & Positioning, Manufacturer Brief

  3. 03

    Listing copy

Does the text get found in search and answer what shoppers need to know?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Title order and how it reads on a phone
    • Keyword research and placement
    • Bullets that answer practical questions
    • Backend search terms and listing health

Fixed with: Listing Builder & Optimizer, Listing Publishing & Monitoring

  4. 04

    Images & A+ Content

Do the images sell the product before the shopper reads a word?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Image count and sequence
    • Images that handle objections
    • Readability on a phone
    • A+ Content

Fixed with: Designer Brief & Content, Experiments

  5. 05

    Advertising & traffic

Is advertising bringing profitable traffic – or buying sales at a loss?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Campaign structure
    • ACoS against break-even
    • Wasted spend on search terms
    • Launch plan or TACoS trend

Fixed with: PPC Keywords & Campaign Structure, Advertising Audit, Launch Strategy

  6. 06

    Conversion & reviews

When shoppers land on the page, do they buy – and stay happy?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Rating and review plan
    • Conversion against similar products
    • Themes in negative reviews and returns
    • Return rate

Fixed with: Reviews & Returns Analysis, Sales Drop Diagnosis

  7. 07

    Profit & inventory

Does each sale make money, and will you stay in stock?

    Diagnose this stage →
    • Net profit per unit after all costs
    • Margin level
    • Days of stock and reorder timing
    • Stockout history

Fixed with: Profit Simulator, Reporting & Unit Economics, Sales & Replenishment Forecast

How it works

Diagnosis → treatment plan → fix

How it works in detail →
  1. Diagnose – free, today

Answer a few questions per stage in the seller's language. After each stage you see its score and findings. “I don't know” becomes a blind spot, not a dead end.

  2. Get the treatment plan

The weakest link, the three things to fix first, and which module fixes what – in order. Download it as a PDF or share a link with your team or agency.

  3. Fix with the toolkit

Sixteen modules do the agency work for each stage: research, positioning, listing, designer brief, launch plan, PPC, profit. In development – early access first.

What a finding looks like

Not a score for its own sake – a reason and a next step

Every finding says what we observed, what it means for sales or profit, what to do about it and which module does it. The same format agencies use in client audits.

Your ACoS is above break-even.

Critical
What it means
Every sale from ads currently loses money. That can be a deliberate launch investment – but only with a plan and an end date.
What to do
Find which campaigns and search terms push ACoS up and fix them first; check whether the price leaves enough margin.
Stage 5 · Advertising & trafficFixed with: Advertising Audit

The secondary images are mostly lifestyle photos.

Major
What it means
Mood helps, but buyers decide on facts: size, fit, what's included, how it compares.
What to do
Replace at least half the slots with images that each answer one specific question.
Stage 4 · Images & A+ ContentFixed with: Designer Brief & Content

Sample findings for a fictional product.

Built for three situations

The questions change with the situation: a launch is checked for readiness, a live product for what limits it now.

Launching a new product

Check demand, positioning, listing, images, launch plan and economics before money goes into stock and ads.

Diagnose a launch →

Improving a live product

Find the stage that caps sales or profit right now, and fix it first instead of tuning everything at once.

Questions

Is the diagnosis really free?

Yes. The diagnosis works today, needs no account and no payment. You get a score for each of the seven stages, the findings, a treatment plan, a PDF and a link you can share. Start it here.

Where do the scores come from?

From your answers. Each answer gives 0–3 points using rules of thumb from Amazon agency work, and a stage with a critical issue is marked critical whatever its score. How scoring works.

With an ASIN, public listing facts are shown next to the questions. It doesn't read your Amazon account; a diagnosis from your account data is the next step, once Amazon connections are built.

Can it read my listing?

Yes, if you enter an ASIN: we read public listing data – image count, video, A+ Content, rating, price – and show it next to the matching questions with a suggested answer. You confirm every answer. It doesn't need access to your Amazon account.

What if I don't know the answer to a question?

Choose “I don't know” or “I haven't checked”. It counts as a blind spot: something that can cost you money without you seeing it. The report shows each blind spot and the module that would measure it.

What happens after the diagnosis?

You get a treatment plan: the modules that fix each problem, in order of importance – niche research, positioning, listing, designer brief, launch plan, PPC, profit reporting and more. The modules are in development; join early access from your report and we'll contact you when the ones you need open.

Do I have to connect my Amazon account?

Not for the diagnosis, and not for most modules: research, positioning, listings, briefs and launch planning start from a product description and market data. Modules that work with your own sales, stock or ads will need Seller Central or Amazon Ads – those connections are planned and not available yet.
